Our client is a rapidly growing and ambitious main contractor, known for delivering data centre projects across Europe. They are now seeking an experienced MEP Project Lead for a major new-build data centre project in Norway.
The MEP Project Lead will take full responsibility for the planning, coordination, and execution of all mechanical, electrical, and public health systems from preconstruction through to commissioning and client handover. Acting as the senior MEP representative on-site, they will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage specialist subcontractors, and work closely with both internal departments and the client to ensure successful delivery in terms of time, quality, and performance.
• Lead the full MEP delivery of a new-build hyperscale data centre project in Norway
• Oversee MEP design coordination, ensuring buildability and integration with architectural and structural elements
• Manage specialist subcontractors, ensuring works are delivered to the highest standards and in line with programme milestones
• Ensure commissioning and QA/QC processes are fully embedded and rigorously followed
• Coordinate with commercial, planning, BIM, and site teams to ensure smooth project progression
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with the client, consultants, and supply chain
• Monitor and report on MEP progress, risks, and quality issues to senior management
• Proven track record leading MEP delivery on major data centre, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, or similar mission-critical projects
• Strong technical understanding of large-scale mechanical and electrical installations, with a focus on resilience and high performance
• Experience working within a main contractor or specialist MEP contractor environment
• Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills
• Ability to work under pressure on fast-track programmes in an international environment
• Willingness to be based full-time in Norway for the duration of the project; relocation support provided
